waking up in big bend
just a fraction of the water drank during seven days in the july texas heat
three thousand miles worth of bug guts
another five hundred home
when you've been on the road without a shower or fresh clothes and your skin and jeans have developed patterns of sweat, sunscreen and dust.
you no long need apply more lotion or desire a shower.
sometimes i think i could live out here and never come back.
often times i wish i could.
